Hullbridge Village History

Hullbridge Memories.

The memories of Andy Claxton

Hullbridge can be a cold place with warm hearts.

My family and I moved from Hereford to Hullbridge in 1953 on the Tower caravan site. My mother worked in the Anchor Tea Rooms for a time. My Gran was Mrs Hambly.

I went to Hullbridge Primary School in Sept 1954 and eventually went to the new Hockley Secondary in Sept 1961 along with many of my friends. Photo from Andy Claxton of
