Rumour has it that bfore completion Abdul renegotiated the price upsetting Frankie which lead him to write the obscenities that on very close inspection can be seen in the grass, I still find new ones today! Not the best artist but certainly value for money with the size of this, 8'x4'!" Brian Weekes also recalls"Ah the late Frank Mead, my neighbour in Hullbridge for many years, he was also the artist who painted the pics on the walls at "Crocks" in Rayleigh high street. (Aka the link toothbrush) Lovely guy". Frankie died 27th July 1985 after a short period in Oldchurch Hospital and his obituary appeared in Aug 85 Ripples.
